Composition: Seagate grows the olive leaves contained in this product on their farm in Baja California. Seagate freeze-dries the olive leaves, employing the same process methods used to produce olive leaf extract. Peppermint leaves are added to provide a pleasant soothing flavor.
Raw Material Source: Seagate's olive trees are well-suited to the arid climate of northern Baja California. Originally, these trees were planted alongside their farmland to protect the crops from wind damage.
Olive History: The mighty olive tree (Olea europa) has been celebrated for its power to nurture and heal since the beginning of recorded history. Cultivated in Asia Minor over 6,000 years ago, the fruit and the oil of the olive tree are mentioned in the Old and New Testaments as health-promoting and life-sustaining foods. Olive leaves were used by the ancient Egyptians to wrap and preserve their mummies prior to burial in crypts, because the olive leaves helped preserve human tissue from decomposition. It would be thousands of years before the olive leaf would be studied for its antimicrobial characteristics. In 1969 a major pharmaceutical company isolated a component of olive leaf, a chemical called elenoic acid, in an attempt to develop an anti-viral medicine from this plant. Perhaps the most famous modern use of this tree is by The United Nations which uses the olive branch as its symbol of peace.

Olive Leaf Peppermint Tea is Helping My Dog
By: Dee from Reading, PA US on June 18, 2017
"My 10 yr old Labrador has been having persistent vomiting and diarrhea for a few days, which I suspected was from a bacterial origin. She was able to keep most of her food down and was not dehydrated, but seemed to be slowly getting worse. Other things were not working. I remembered the lab analysis on one of the Olive Leaf Extract products that had a kill rate of 99% of the bacteria and viruses within 60 seconds, so I researched to ensure that both peppermint and olive leaf could be used for dogs. I offered her a choice of plain water and a couple ounces of the Olive Leaf mint tea. She took a couple laps of the tea and switched to the water. I offered her more tea later, which she drank. Within a couple of hours, she seemed much more comfortable, acted more normal and her coat switched back from rough and dry to soft. There has been no vomiting or diarrhea today. I will continue offering tea in addition to her water for a few more days to a week. This looks promising!"
